Springhouse is a collaboration between longtime friends and musical co-conspirators Jane Selkye (Me Jane), Chris Kee (Houston Jones, Jim Campilongo, Peter Rowan, Buddy Miller), Fred Hyer (The Vicious Hippies, The Natives, Buffalo Roam, Me Jane and Grapefruit Ed), and David Phillips (everybody from Johnny Paycheck to the San Francisco Symphony to Metallica).  Selkye's quicksilver voice, the astral expanse of Phillips' pedal steel, Hyer’s voluptuous grooves and Kee's architectural bass merge to shape each song. The quartet plays music of the Americana borderlands, from art song to the roadhouse and the places in between.
